Content Libraries for Civil 3D

When designing with Autodesk Civil 3D, many find the standard library of parts to be sufficient to accurately depict the necessary components of a network. However, there are many cases in which unique structures are needed, and the parts found within the standard libraries are insufficient to meet specific regional standards and specifications.

To support these regional needs, IMAGINiT has developed the following content libraries for Autodesk Civil 3D:

Gravity Stormwater Libraries

Utilizing Autodesk Inventor and Infrastructure Parts Editor, IMAGINiT has modeled the stormwater structures in Iowa (SUDAS) and Virginia (VDOT). Utilizing these libraries allows for:

  • More accurate reflection of what is being constructed on plan sheets
  • Makes labeling structures easier
  • Supports multiple connection points
  • Supports connection points being separated from the insertion point
  • Easier quantity take-offs

Enhanced Pressure Pipe Libraries

As Autodesk continuously improves the Pressure Pipe functionality within Civil 3D, clients are asking for a more robust library of pipes and fittings that will accurately display in their BIM models. Utilizing these libraries allows for:

  • Significantly more content than what is provided out of the box
  • Arranged by material, not connection type to find content easier
  • Takes advantage of recent path-based layout tools
  • Align very closely with multi-discipline and BIM workflows
