Leica CloudWorx for Revit

In this Leica CloudWorx for Revit training course, we will review best practices for creating geometry from point cloud data, as well as how to work with large data files. Users take advantage of the familiar Revit interface and tools to shorten the learning curve for working with laser scan data. Leica CloudWorx, the powerful Leica Cyclone, and new Leica JetStream point cloud engines let Revit users efficiently visualize and create BIM models from large point cloud data sets. Users get all the advantages of a high-performance point cloud application directly within Revit.

Upon completion of this Leica CloudWorx for Revit course, students will be able to:
  • Work in Revit with point clouds from any laser scanner or point cloud-creating 3D sensor
  • Set Building Levels directly from the point cloud
  • Manipulate and navigate large point cloud datasets faster, including slices, sections, and limit boxes
  • Place Revit model item (walls, floors, structural members, etc.) from picks on the point cloud
  • Place Revit model item Steel, flange, automatic pipe, and 2D line fitters
Prerequisites for this Leica CloudWorx for Revit training course:
Students should be comfortable with the fundamentals of Autodesk Revit as typical with Autodesk Revit: Fundamentals for Architecture, or MEP, or Structure. Knowledge of basic techniques is assumed, such as creating typical elements as well as copying and moving objects, creating, and working with views, etc.

Topics, curriculum, and/or prerequisites may change depending on software version.
