Autodesk Civil 3D: Beyond the Basics for Transportation

This training course is designed for those who want to continue exploring the Autodesk Civil 3D software’s interactive, dynamic design functionality. It continues on from the topics covered in the Autodesk Civil 3D: Essentials course and covers more sophisticated techniques that extend your mastery of the software. This training course introduces Autodesk Civil 3D users to advanced corridor design and covers more involved assemblies, multi-region corridors, cul-de-sacs, intersections, and roundabouts. Road rehabilitation and superelevation will also be reviewed.

This course is recommended for users that are already familiar with alignment and profile design.

Topics Covered in this Autodesk Civil 3D Training Course:
  • Review workflows for transportation projects
  • Work with the latest alignment and profile enhancements, such as connected alignments and connected profiles
  • Build advanced corridors such as cul-de-sacs, manual intersections, and roundabouts
  • Use superelevation tools
  • Review the rehab corridor
  • Troubleshoot and resolve corridor issues, such as bowties and dropping to 0
Prerequisites for this Civil 3D training course:
Autodesk Civil 3D: Essentials or equivalent drafting experience in Autodesk Civil 3D and a sound understanding and knowledge of civil engineering terminology.
