BIM and CAD Management for Revit

Are you needed to manage multiple users? In this course we will learn how to manage your internal Revit project files and files from consultants. We will review the management of internal reference and legacy data files for your production team; learn best practices for backup, storage and file sharing and how often you should compact central! We will also discuss common software installation and update issues, introduce some helpful collaboration tools with chat features to allow your team to quickly communicate over any distance.

Upon completion of this Autodesk Revit training course, students will be able to:
  • Identify and analyze common Installation and IT issues
  • Work with physical and digital project file organization
  • Evaluate varying Project Browser organization options for Views and Sheets
  • Comprehend workshared environment best practices; such as Starting View info options, Sync View, Sync schedule, Purging, Compact Central
  • Examine project file structure and organization
  • Identify project team organization: Tasks and Job Roles (i.e. Model Manager, Designer, Drafter)
  • Explain the steps in the Project startup process
