Revit Worksharing Best Practices

In this Autodesk Revit training course, we will be reviewing how to Workshare inside of Revit using worksets. We will also provide an introduction to A360 Collaboration for Revit and other various options for secure sharing and referencing of Revit files; internally between staff and externally with consultants and clients. We will review the financial requirements for proper implementation of these solutions based on project budget, as well as best practices, pros and cons, and some do’s and don’ts.

Upon completion of this Autodesk Revit training course, students will be able to:
  • Define Revit Collaboration
  • Review Revit worksets and best practices
  • Review Revit worksharing and best practices
  • Compare the differences between many of the common sharing platforms; such as C4R, A360, peer to peer, FTP, Revit Server
  • Employ organizational structure of project files for everyone to securely access
  • Review the varying tools for file sharing in Revit:
    • Live Revit Links: Remote Desktop, Virtual Desktop Citrix, Revit Machine Setup, A360 Cost, Revit Server Capitol Investments; Riverbed Network Acceloractors.
    • Dead Revit Links: Peer to Peer, FTP, BuzzSaw, Sharepoint
