AutoCAD: Customization and CAD Management

In this AutoCAD training course we will go over many of the common CAD Management processes such as Template Setup, checking standards, sharing data, and creating custom content. Creating Tool Palettes, Linetypes, Hatch Patterns, as well as Scripts and Lisp Routines will be reviewed. We will also look at customizing the User Interface, Ribbons, creating commands, and modifying Workspaces. At the end of course we will have a Troubleshooting section and review how to handle corrupt files and other common issues.

Upon completion of this AutoCAD training course, students will be able to:
  • Setup a Template with all settings and styles
  • Setup and Manage Plot Styles and Plotters
  • Configure and Check CAD Standards
  • Customize and Share Tool Palettes
  • Create and Edit Custom Linetypes and Hatch Patterns
  • Navigate the CUI (Customize User Interface) and apply changes to the application
  • Create and Work with Scripts and Lisp Routines
  • Clean Up corrupt files
Prerequisites for this AutoCAD training course:
Completion of AutoCAD Essentials and Intermediate (or equivalent).
