AutoCAD Tools for Civil 3D Users

Many AutoCAD tools have been introduced over the years that benefit users in their design process. This class will introduce the selection tools, in-canvas tools, and selection cycling. This class will also review common AutoCAD tools used for Civil 3D production such as Layouts, Viewports, Sheet Sets, and External references. Microstation users transitioning to Civil 3D will greatly benefit from this class, as well any Civil 3D user that would like a refresher on important AutoCAD functionality.

Upon completion of this AutoCAD training course, students will be able to:
  • Use AutoCAD drafting tools to enhance production
  • Create a Title Block
  • Comprehend the Plot process and best practices
  • Create Layout Templates for Plan Production and Sections
  • Work with Sheet Sets
  • Output drawings
Prerequisites for this AutoCAD training course:
A working knowledge of basic design/drafting procedures and terminology.
