Autodesk Inventor: The Power of the Design Accelerator
Duration: 01 day(s)
Inventor comes preinstalled with design tools that allow designers to focus on design intent instead of the details of modeling components. With design accelerators, designers can focus on the calculations of gears, splines, springs, O-rings, chains, belts and let the software do the work of actually modeling the components. This Autodesk Inventor training course will focus on the tools you can use to create components right inside of your existing assembly, and automatically create mating features to existing component in the assembly. We will also review the process of running calculations on the component you are trying to create, to see if it will meet the current design criteria before the component is ever made.

Topics Covered in this Inventor training course:
  • Use the tools that are available with the Design Accelerators such as spur gear generators, spline connection generators and shaft generators.
  • Navigate the calculation pages for each tool and determine if the settings will meet design compliance.
  • Use Frame Generator to build structures.
  • Run a frame analysis to determine if the frame will work.
  • Edit any design accelerator component to change calculation information to verify if the design is still satisfactory.
Prerequisites for this Inventor training course:
Introduction to Solid Modeling or Have an equivalent understanding of the Inventor Software
